from what I have read and heard charcoal only is good for about 1 week. I run a filter bag once a month for a week in my tank. I do this in the in the middle right betwen water changes

Biff told me to got get some ( she called it egg creat stuff) but it's the square stuff you put in the ceiling over you lights I got the silver and it reflects the light ... But lets the heat out ( glass keeps in the heat making the tank hot......... it help mine Thanks Biff...
