um how do i estimate WPG

k so i have PC lighting with 260Wtts ,and its a 75 gallon i have them on whats my WPG ratio?

i want to invest in some stronger lighting ,which would be a good choice that wont cost me one of my boys down their ,haha

260 watts divided by 75 gallons is 3.46 wpg simple division.

T5s are the most cost effective lights out there. They will be your best value. You can keep clams, anemones and SPS under a good set of T5s.

A retro fit is basically building your own fixture using new parts and an old hood or custom built one.

3.4 watts is enough for softies and LPS corals, but not enough for clams, anemones or SPS corals.

Anemones need the most light of all of them, upwards of 8 or 9 watts per gallon. This is lower if you go with T5s though. When I used T5s, I was able to keep SPS and an anemone under 4 wpg.
