Traded a blue, and a green ricordia, and an xmas favia for this Acan, good trade or no?

I did get a 2lbs piece of LR too. He gave me 50 for the trade in and the acan frag was 40....my ricordia's i traded had split so i figured why not, i didnt loose anything except my xmas favia frag but i wont miss it. I been wanting some colorful acans for a while and finally got some.

Does anyone know anything about them besides they need moderate flow, he said they eat mysis shrimp too. They were about half way up on LR under MH lights. I have them now at the bottom of my tank under my HO t-5's. After a few days should i move them up higher, closer to the light?

They grow pretty slow, but they will grow much faster if you feed them often. They are pretty easy to keep. Seems like a good trade to me.

Absolutely a Great trade IMO. It's a good looking coral too.

I think so too. Acans are some of my favorites. Feed those suckers, and they will grow well for you!

+1 Sarah. Spot feed them some mysis 1-2x per week and they'll grow nicely. It takes them a little while to build a skeleton, but the tissue will encrust new heads over sides on that freshly cut part of the skeleton. Looks nice!
