The wife is already planing a big trip to MWCF once the tanks settle in. I will let you know when I'm sure you wouldn't mind meeting us there.

I happen to have a great looking angel for the Fish only side. I showed your wife some video of it and she said it was a really pretty fish.....
As long as im not working im in. There are two frag swaps coming up if you wanna wait a lil longer. Not much to update while tanks are cycling and getting ready. So I have been playing with the vortechs. Here is a quick video of the wave. It is kind of hard to see by it does get all the way acrossed. The first tank has the 40 full, and the second is the 60 3/4.

Dana I am in no real rush at the moment. It is going to take a while to get these filled. I am going to have to see what work is looking like on the frag swap weekends before I can say for sure if I can go. But it is definently on the radar.
I just put it out there for everyone to know. I wont lose any sleep if you dont go :mrgreen:

So wait, one MP40 is enough to cover 6 feet of tank? Adding these one at a time instead of having to buy 2 at once would be a LOT easier on the pocketbook

I am not sure you would be happy with the force of the wave on the far side. Definitely would need two. That being said the 60 is way to strong near it and also peters out by foot 4. IMO one of what ever size is not the way to go.

Thats what I found with my MP10s, even though one was technically big enough for my little tank there was so little flow once it got to the last third that a second one was a big improvement. Now I have both running a little bit above 60% power and very happy.
You could always get one and supplement with some koralias until you can afford the other.

And also, the koralia doesn't have to be a temporary supplement. They have a 3250 GPH model that is, $100 which is a lot cheaper than the vortech.

marcorocks.com Thanks they seem to be very good and porous.There is about 150# in each tank and they seem to fill it up pretty good. No complains with the rocks or the company free shipping and a little over $2 per lb.

NO, I asked for a matching set so the two tanks would look the same. Not really possible because they are real rocks and no two are going to be the same. I did tell them the size tank they were going to go in and what I was looking for. So I did get some larger ones. I would say it was a good mix across the board.I like the way they seem to stack together and are very stable. Again no complains about anything. But I did not have to many demands.
