Stop Quoting Me!
In the last two days I've found 2 very weird things in my tank that I'd never seen before. Yesterday while I was looking at my tank, I found a small furry dead crab, kind of brownish orange. A little smaller than a dime. I picked him out..so long sucka, he was upside down on a rock.

Today I did a water change, after everything settled down I was lookign at the tank and I see a small "thing" kinda' like a caterpillar, near it's head it had 2 points, (closest I can explain it is they looked like rabbit ears). He was brownish, small less than 1/2 inch. He had these spine loking things sticking out of his body, thicker than a bristle worm. I tried to get a pic, but he was just too small to photograph...He looked to be going to town on my zoa colony.

I picked him out with the tweezers, but crushed him in the process. I've never seen anyone send a pic of one since I've been on this forum..

Any ideas?

It's hard to tell PRC.Does it look like a nudibranch?

It is on top of some zoas.Has me a little worried that it's a zoa eater.

Maybe he was just passing through? If he stays on them long term then he's probably up to no good.

I initially thought nudi branch, but he didn't have the typical striking colors of a nudi...And he was DEFINITELY going to town on a zoa...the keyword is "was" he has since been terminated.

I know the pics suck, but since I squished him when I got him out, that's the best I ended up with.

The zoa eating nudis really don't have striking colors.Typically tan, brown or gray.If they feed on the zoas for awhile then they tend to carry the same color as the zoas.

Where there is one there could be dozens and dozens more.Might be time for a freshwater dip.
