hi i on my 55 gallon tank i have a canister and i was talking to the people at my dads work and they said it is "old technology" and i am thinking of to switching to a sump but i have a question how would i do that? because the tank is already established. thanks for the help :question:

Ha Ha Thats Funny!
You just add it on. Get an overflow box if you need and build or purchase a sump. YOu can check the DIY section on these forums for ideas and pictures on what they look like. Basically it just needs to fit under your stand if that's where you want to put it. The canister tends to turn into a nitrate factory after a while unless you clean it every two weeks or so. The sump also allows you to move your heater and skimmer off the display tank.
