No. If anything, using live sand can help prevent a cycle.

Wait.... what. So what you are saying is that i can buy the live sand and it will keep a cycle from happening.

I get why but I thought since my rock is cycled it would be better to use the dry aragonite.

I was going by what you posted. I just figured you knew what I was planning and suggested it as a better idea.

No. Nothing can guarantee a cycle won't happen. Using live sand MAY help prevent a cycle. But most people agree the live sand in a bag is a waste of money. Using live sand is not going to cause a cycle. Live sand means it contains live bacteria. The bacteria that breaks down waste.

Why? I have told you like five times that your plan is fine. Using live sand or dry sand won't cause a cycle. You are way over complicating things. ;)
