Stocking Questions

10K is a whiter sometimes yellow light depending on the brand.
14 or 15K is inbetween
20K is more blue

You do need to be careful if you have alot of light on your tank when adding corals, ask your LFS what lights they use if it is stronger then yours you may need to be acclimated to the light.

I run 15K XM and VHO actinic on my reef tank. actinic lighting is important for your coral growth and helps bring out lots of color.

You mentioned putting in a garden eel (worm) If this is something you really want to keep I would wait for 8 months to a year they are very sensitive and tough to feed, they do love current. I can get more info on them for you if you would like, a friend of mine keep a couple of them for a while.

Im thinking that candy cane shrimp is what they call a coral banded. If it is,they tend to get aggressive and have been known to kill and eat fish at night,And I personally know for a fact they will eat corals.
