Sticky for OH NOEZ MAH FISH IS SICK threads

Alright mods - I'm getting tired of seeing threads where people are asking for help with sick fish / coral /inverts and they dont post any specifics, use all caps with a thread title like

OH NOEZ MY FISH IS DYING PLZ HALP QUICK!!!

(I'm being a little melodramatic, but anyone thats been here for a while knows that I'm talking about
we need to sticky something in the new to reefing section with a template so that we can get the information needed without beating up or flaming the poster. Here is a qucik template

Fill this out if you are seeking advice with a sick fish / invert / coral

Describe the problem:

Provide the follwoing tank parameters
Temp
Salinity
Ammonia
Nitrite
Nitrate
Phosphate

Decscribe your system (size / filtration etc):

Other inhabitants in the tank:

Are any of the other inhabitants effected?

Have you treated your tank with something to remedy this issue?

Has anything changed recently? (New coral /fish / invert / piece of equipment)

What is your water change schedule, and how much are you changing?



Feel free to add /remove things from the above template that we all think should be added /removed
 
If we have a sticky created, and someone creates a post without the neccesary information, one of us can simply point them to the sticky and let them know that we wont really be able to help until the form is filled out.

Erin - Glad you caught my sense of humor, I was just really tired of seeing posts like that
