The vermitid snails build themselves a hard tube to live in,then cast the web out to catch their food.There not a coral predator,but the webs can cause the corals to stay closed all the time.
On the freshwater dips for corals,what I generally do is get the water out of the faucet as close to the tank temps as possible.Then I'll hold the coral under that for 5 or 10 seconds,then stick em in a lugols iodine mixture for about 30 minutes.Any zoas I add to my tank,gets the freshwater bath and lugols.Never give LPS corals a freshwater bath.And the only way I'll give it to SPS corals,is if I see either Acro redbugs or nudis on em.
