FOODS AND FEEDING - Difficult feeder, feeds on stony coral polyps and coral mucus, try vitamin enriched live brine shrimp, clam on the half shell, black mussels, mashed squid or shrimp on a bleached stony coral skeleton. Once feeding varied diet of crustacean flesh, mysid shrimp, frozen preparations for carnivores. Feed min;. 3 times a day.

REEF COMPATIBILITY - Not suitable for reef aquariums.
CAPTIVE CARE - Feeds mostly on corals, reluctant to accept substitute foods in captivity, even if feeding in captivity may not get enough food to survive. Keep with non aggressive tankmates, kept with one of the hardier butterflyfishes may help induce a feeding response.
