That's the most common salinity for reef tanks.
But I've been trying to keep mine more around 1.023 - 1.024 as measured with my refractometer.
I had heard that the higher salinity is harder on the fish and their immune systems. And since I dose for calc, alk and mag anyway, I don't need to rely on the higher salinity for my corals. So i keep it a little lower but still well within the range of natural sea water.
