Shallow or deep

Hi everyone I am very into specific biotype aquariums. Although I mentioned earlier that I was planning a deepwater reef, I found out that the idea of daily targeted feedings deserved second thought.

Is a brightly lit shallow water (mostly sps and clam) reef harder to maintain than a deepwater reef with nps corals?

Dude, from a guy who's been failing on his tanks, as long as you take care of the water, the rest can work for you. But be patient! As I'm finally moving up in tank size, the small tanks require a lot of watching,

the second option is much harder, almost everyone who does a reef, does a shallow, bright reef.

also nps = non-photosynthetic, so what you were thinking about doing and your second option are the same thing.

So the best choice (higher success rate) is the shallow water aquarium?

Dont forget about your other option of a reef with either LPS or softies that are photosynthetic, but dont require as pristine water conditions as SPS. Or as intense lighting.
