Setting up a Pico.

Ok, so im thinking about setting up a three gallon Pico, with lots of corals and some cool inverts. So i was just think, will the 9w light be enough. Giving off 3w per gallon?? Plus i cant find anything that small! Jeez any help? :mrgreen:

I think that light will be fine. There are two different types of 3 gallon pico setups available from Drs. Foster and Smith. They cost about $30 to $40.

Yea, i thought why not have a mini tank, with some slutty shrimp and some cool coral. but i was thinking that the 9w would be a bit on the low side to sustain kenyas or zoas and things like that.

Are you going to be using a little HOB filter on the pico? If so, I don't think you will need a powerhead. The filter will provide enough flow.

I personally like the theo heater I have two running.. never had an issue with them..
