how can i make a piece of pvc pipe i want to put a piece in my QT tank so when i have fish in there they have a place ti hide

You can buy short lengths of PVC from homedepot and lowes. They sell 2' cut lengths of various size pipe.

whoops i for the sinking it part i have pvc pipe but it floats so how to i get it to stay at the bottom

Drill a few holes in it? What brand of pipe are you using?

im not sure of the brand i got it at lowes

Some of the "cheaper" PVC is cellular and can have air pockets in the pipe wall. I would try drilling a few holes in it.

Just buy a few 3" couplings, Ts or elbows. We used them in the shop for hiding places.

i have 3" pvc pipe but it floats will the fittings sink or do you have to weight them down?

Mine always sank, are you sure you have PVC and not something else? PVC should always sink, other plastics may float.

Also, have you ever been to Reef and Tails in Wyomissing?

ok so i found the deal with the sinking PVC the drain and vent PVC is as Aquarian cellular core and PVC for drinking water is not and sinks. charlotte pipe black label will float and red label will sink
