Reefing newb
Location
Fort Collins, CO
I have a fairly established tank~3 years old. Noticed a couple of oddities the other day on my live rock. The first looks like a spiders egg sac about 1/4" round. Its off white with a hole in the center. Next there looks to be an anemone about 1/2" round. Next I added a hermit crab the other day but don't know the exact species. He is about 2" long. Thanks for any help.

The first one looks like a Pineapple Sponge or sponge of some sort.

The second one looks like it might be a Rock Anenome of some kind.

The 3rd looks like a Red Legged Hermit.

Hello and Welcome! I live in FoCo too!

1. Pineapple sponge, good guy its a harmless filter feeder
2. looks like retracted ball nem to me, also nothing to worry about
3. I would guess red-legged hermit crab as well

Isnt that the hermit that grows really big and sometimes isnt reef safe? I will have to check into it, but they look so similar.
