Placement questions for SPS

My local reef club is having a meeting and swap tomorrow and I'm going to be getting a couple of encrusting monti's - a sunset and superman monti, and also a red planet frag (I know its not a monti), and a meteor shower frag. All will be going in my 10g and I will of course acclimate them to my lights, etc. But after they've been acclimated, what is the best placement for these corals? Also, the red planet will be my first acro, and I know acros need high light and flow - will it be okay to light acclimate it on the bottom of the tank, or should I place it higher to acclimate? Thanks!

Start them off on the sand bed, but you'll eventually want them at the top of your tank for maximum light.

+1 Smitty. Start them low then work their way up.

+1 smitty and biff. I always place new corals on the sand and then move them up.
