Sorry about your Clown. What is in there that took a bit out of him?
Yea, that sounds like a safe bet. It'll probably do the same to any other fish you put in there too.Im guessing maybe the yellow tail damsel.
I would not advocate flushing the fish down the toilet. That behavior is in the damsel's nature. Every time anyone posts about damsels on here, we tell them that. Dana, it's not the fish's fault that you either A) did not do research on the fish before you bought it, or B) did do research, knew how aggressive they were, yet you thought you were "special" and that your fish would be "nice" so you bought it anyways.
In both those cases, the damsel's very predictable aggression towards your other fish is due to your failing as an aquarist, not the fish's failing for just being himself.
Remember, these fish are taken from the wild. If you are going to get pissed and flush them down the toilet when they act the way they naturally act, you shouldn't be in this hobby.
Wow, it scares me that you feel justified in flushing a living creature down the toilet. Whether you took pleasure in flushing it or not is not the issue. Being in posession of an aquarium, especially one filled with creatures that are taken from such a fragile ecosystem as a reef, is a privelege. They become your responsibility. And just because you invested money and time into your aquarium, it doesn't give you the right to flush a fish down the toilet. I can go ahead and spend money on buying a fancy bird but it doesn't give me the right to shoot it. If you dont' want a fish than it's your responsibilty to find it a new home.
Who hasnt flushed a fish. I dont advocate it, but it does happen.
Blue damsels are so mean they would probably wait for me to sit down on the pot and bite my ass.
