I would say no. Baby water has stuff added to it. Just checked the jug I use for topping off. You are best to go with distilled water. It will probably be cheaper than the baby water by a few cents.

Its purified water with some minerals and such added. Babies aren't supposed to get all the iodine that is added to the tap water, atleast that's what the Mrs told me, so we bought that for our boy for a while.

I hear ya. It just looks like in the pictures that your rock isn't to pourice. That'll help your filtration the more pourice your rock is. That MO

Porous - many small holes for bacteria and other stuff to grow. But most of the rocks look okay to me.
