I built this stand to the specs of a 75 gal. tank even though I only have a 46. I thought it would be better to build bigger so it wouldnt be an issue later if I upgrade. This thing is a little heavy, probably because of the 2x4 and 2x6 construction of the frame. I used 2 of the 2x6's sandwiched together as a header in the front so there wouldnt be any obstruction when I opened the doors. I may build a hood later on to match the stand.
