My 110g mixed reef

canon t2i - the camera is less important than the lenses you are using.
i shoot mostly with a marco 100mm/f2.8, always on a tripod
i use f2.8 - 4.5 setting for the close up shot and f8 for the wider shots. always with a timed release. white balance at 7K
for the fishies i use a 50mm/fixed with a f1.8 aperture and try to shoot at minimum of 1/60 speed. no tripod on the fish shots

Not sure why i do this but bought a chili coral. Yep, add another non-photo, hard to care for coral in the mix. Its in the corner until i figure out what to do with it. I only get polyp extension at night and have been target feeding it. The LFS had a much bigger colony but i really didn't like the colouration and they couldn't get any polyp extension (even in the dark).

My Mandarin getting robbed by Tangs!

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyQqC_QtjB0]Mandarin Eating Pellets (with Hungry Tangs) - YouTube[/ame]

he's used to the tangs. they actually don't bother him except eat his food, haha.

yeah, slow process getting him to eat fresh brine shrimp/ then frozen and then pellets. Funny, i noticed he was scoping out the tangs when they were eating their pellets when i realized that he may potentially eat pellets himself.

Thats pretty cool. I am waiting for my tank to mature a a bit more and the pod population to increase before I get mine!
