So I got the money to purchase one and I was also looking on C list and I found an older model for only 250 $ what do you guys think is it worth getting the older model or should I just get the new one with the ecosmart driver ?.

well if it comes to the new one I can only afford one atm will one be ok in my 125gl 6 foot tank ??? if I still use one of my current aqueon 1200 on the aposing side ??? and I also have the return split into 2 lines at about 300 gl each.

That will work. I know youve got 2 foot on me, but i only can run @ 50% or my corals get beat up.

Buying new saves you a hassle. You get them under warranty to start. You never know what kind of abuse the used ones have been put through either.

That is a hell of a deal from Dennis as well. Get one from him, then stadt fragging and selling to buy another one.

LOL that's a good one, But nah we did our thing and made her happy so its all good. Got to install it today and wow !!! This think can BLOW water around that is. I ended up just using the MP40 on my tank because it seems that when I use one of my old power heads with it I don't get the right flow and my Duncan is just blown all aver the place. Also only found a couple modes that worked out for me ATM with just the one MP 40 but im sure the other modes will work out good also ones I get another MP40 to shoot flow back in the other direction. For now im just using NTM mode and I like it a lot. See a grip of little things floating around in the water. was going to do a water change today but im going to wait till tomorrow since this thing is stiring up stuff. So yeah for now using NTM mode at about 50% and seems to be good with out the other power head. Ill post up a video to see what you guys think of the flow. A little noisy but I know ones I have the other unit and turn them down a bit since there will be 2 it will be a bit lower.

Nice! I use the purple (tidal) setting on 50% and that takes over my tank too.

I wanted to use reefcrest mode but my Duncan gets blasted from one side, that's why I want to wait until I get the other pump. But What do you think of the flow ??? does it look ok for now ??

That is plenty of flow imho. Its amazing how well it works in your tank. Watch your nem for a few days. I was messing with contantly changing intensity on mine and my nem moved 3 inches down to a new home. If the nem starts looking epiletic, turn it down a few. The ducans will open up again, they are just not used to that things intensity, or at least mine opened back up. I hope this helps u!

Well the Duncan did not close up all that mush but im just saying it gets blasted ad moves a lot that's why im not sure how it will react long term. and yeah I will keep an eye on the nem. hopefully he doesn't move I like that spot it settled in.

You will be so happy with all your parameters too. I was amazed at the amount of crap that lets loose over time. I was always in there with the turkey baster tring to keep the lr clean and all it took was an mp40es! The only down side is the noise from the unit and the surge in the down pipe from the tidal action. Still worth it. R u picking up an apex? I really wanna tie mine in
