but ive seen 55 gallon aquariums lit by one. that grow tons of coral. i think this is prefered because it provides you with an opportunity to keep many types of coral. from non photosynthetic to the most light hungry corals you can buy.

I have a question about halides. If my house is at 78, will a fan still be enough to keep the temperature down?

My house was regularly 85-90 in the summer. I ran 2x250 and never had to even think about a fan. Tank always stayed around 81-82.

My local craigslist is kinda lame so I'll keep an eye on ebay.

But still. Those obviously aren't great LEDs so it might be better to go with the halides.

the first one from ledwholesaler is not good quality. the other ones are actually great for the price.

Actually the odyssea light which includes 4 t5s and moonlights would be cheeper than 2 250 watt pendants and ballasts.

way cheaper man its like 90 bucks! i la la love odyssea lightss, they use same ballast as coralife just fyi. an odyssea dealer i have had great success with on ebay os topdogsellers!
