Lost ywg

Angelajean

I know that I don't know
I know that fish can hide, but our yellow watchman goby is always in front in the morning when the lights come on.

He has a few holes that he has made in the new tank. I can't find him. My son is getting up in a little bit and he is going to be VERY upset.

Any ideas where to look?

How long before I should be worried?

All the other fish seem to be fine. My serpent star and brittle sea star are in there normal spot hiding this morning although it is near Bob's (YWG) hole.

We found Bob, but he is behind black barrier thing that the return pipes run through. I think we are going to have to use a net to try and get him back into main part of tank.
I wonder what caused him to go there and how he got there?

Any ideas how to prevent it from happening again?

Can you post a pic of where he got out? Might offer up better tips for fixing the escape route.

It happens. I've fished out a chromis, my clownfish (twice!) and my old lawnmower blenny from my overflows in the past.

Bob has been rescued and we adjusted the pipe to be certain that he can not get over there again.

We also used some plastic canvas to help any additional holes.

Yea +1 Erin. No need to throw that out.
And nice one on the rescue! My blenny seems to jump into the overflow for fun... I swear.. Hahaha. I believe this is what goes through his mind when he enters back in the tank:
