Well your tank is only 12.5" wide, this lighting is 18" wide, so your hanging over by 6" with the legs on. You may be able to invert the legs differently than shown on the photo but do you want to risk $200 on a light you cant use? Also with that much overlap It appears that probably 3" on each side wont be on your tank meaning that you will be having part of each of the T5 sections not even over the tank. It looks like a cool system but I wouldnt want to wast $200 on a set I cant use correctly.

I think that's too much light for a 29 gallon.

Get this for your 29 instead.

Then get the T5 add ons that attach to it. I don't know why corals wouldn't pop under it -- tons of people use MH.

Yeah that would work too. That's quite a bit more light than the 150.

250 watts will be too much over that 29gal, you'll definitely have heat issues. Stick with 150-175 watts.
