Lighting question...

Got Fish?
This is a very basic lighting question...but I would love your thoughts....How many hours a day should I have my light on? I have fish, corals and anemones. Is there some type of guideline I should be following? Thanks.

I run a 10 hr light schedule. Actinics come on 1st, an hr later the metal halides come on for 8 hrs, then only actinics again for the final hour.

Thanks. I'm running my LED light for 9 hours and my 'blue' night-type lights for a total of 11. They come on an hour before my LED and stay on an hour after. I guess I'm doing it right. :)

I run mine on a 12 hour schedule, my two 65W PC Actinics come on an hour before my two 65W PC 12k lights and then those run for 10 hours, and a final hour of just the Actinics before my night LED's come on. My lighting schedule is more a result of making sure the lights are on for the two daily feedings for my seahorses though. If I could do it any way I wanted I would stick to a 10 hour schedule I think.
