Hey guys. I am looking at a marineland reef capable led 36 - 48 inch for my 75 gallon bow front tank. My tank is 4 feet long and two to three feet deep. I have two questions here. Opinion on the light itself and whether this lighting set will be adequate for corals in this tank

What is the max depth on this fixture? I'm pretty sure my tank is closer to 2 feet than 3. I have just never measured it. I know the par is 64 at two feet. And my Lr comes up pretty high. Would this be a good learner light? To learn about placement and things like that? I'm all bout the learning My Lr comes up a third to 1/2 way up. So let's say I bought some button polyps and put them at the highest point. Wouldn't they grow towards the light level they prefer?

No, polyps can handle a wide variety of different conditions, and if they dont like the lighting they tend to either melt or detach. And i wouldnt buy a "training" light because it wont take very long for you to want to buy some of th the more light demanding corals and then you will be SOL or spending even more money to get the light fixture that is right for your tank.
