Just getting started

Hi, I'm new to saltwater. I've been keeping African cichlids for 12 years and I was recently given a 36g bowfront tank with a Solar Xtreme Deep Blue with T5 lights by a friend. I think I am ready to get into saltwater, so what do I need from here. I want a reef tank with corals and invertebrates as well as fish. Any recommendations and advice would be helpful. Thanks!

Check out the articles. There's one with a list of equipment, but you would need powerheads and a heater, along with tests for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH, dKh, calcium, magnesium, phosphates and if you want, a protein skimmer.

You should list every piece of equipment you have, ie sump, skimmer, power heads, lighting........

That would give us an idea on how better to direct you.
