Ick Transfer

If you buy a coral from someone that has previously had ick in their tank, is it possible to transfer the ick from their tank to yours? Someone I know has a large mushroom rock they want to sell but I think I remember them having an ick outbreak a little while back....thanks

Unless you have let your tank sit fallow for 8 weeks and treated every fish for ich before you put it in the tank, you have ich in your tank. We all do, we just try and keep our fish healthy and stress free so it never gets beyond what their immune system can handle.

But for your question, inverts dont carry ich, but the water they are in might have it, and their might be some on the rock etc.
