Oct 14, 2009 #6 ccCapt Reef Hacker +1 Winy A new bulb will have more PAR than a old, used bulb. The spectral output (color) has no affect on corals, but PAR values can. When you change to a new bulb, you can drop the time your MH lights are on by a few hrs/day and gradually build it back up.
