help with lighting

Hi I just started a 150gal build .My plan is to turn it to a sps tank (first time reefer)need help with lighting . My tank is 5ft long X 2ft wide x2 ft deep. I was planing on using some basic reflectors(3) and galexy ballast . Can someone tell me if I really need 2 go with 400 watt ballast or are 250's good enough? :question:

For a 24" depth, 250w is fine. If you consider parabolic reflectors "basic" reflectors, then yes you should get 3. If you use a high quality Lumenarc, LumenMax or LumenBright reflector, you can get away with using 2. The higher cost of the good reflectors would be offset by only needing 2 bulbs/ballasts and the electric savings between 2 or 3 bulb setup.
