HEEELP! Desperate Newbie with a mayhem tank!

hah.i have about 15 hermits and about25-30 snails and the hermits dont even touch my snails.hate to see that kind of stuff.

just wait they will eventually it is just nature at work

I put all my hermits in my sump but they seem to find their way to the MT no idea how.

I bought 4 larger hermits and the same thing happened in their acclimating. One kept locking with the others and i kept prying him off. I ended up with 3 of the 4 making it to my tank. A month later and I have just 1.

I'm supposed to have 15 crabs. I think I have around 7 that I can see :mrgreen:

Hehe I generally let nature take it's course in my tank. Obviously if I had some expensive fish goin "fin to fin" (haha get it?) I'd have to do something about it. Crabs will take advantage of easy and small prey and it sounds like your snails fell into that category. I have the extra large turbo snails which have been uneffected by the hermits and my emerald for that matter. You'll find out soon enough though that not everything is willing to cooperate with your vision on how you'd like your tank to work out. Good luck though and don't get discouraged.
