To help with coralline,dont forget to test your magnesium levels.If Magnesium is low,then it'll hold the coralline back. Also to help coralline spread,you can use a NEW hard bristled tooth brush to scrub the coralline spots that you have growing.That will cause it to release tiny spores that will attach in other parts of the tank.
This is so true. I had very little coraline and high calcium for six months. I tried scrubbing it with a toothbrush but it just didn't seem to work. Then last month I got wind of the chemical relationship and started adding magnesium. I now have small spots of Coraline growing everywhere. Even on rocks that have always been covered with algae.
