Fuge: Another Cycle/Spike?!

So...My 46 gallon has cycled, and I filled it up with snails and crabs (no fish yet). I bought a refugium and plan to add it onto the tank (a little late, I know...), but I am worried about triggering another cycle/spike by adding the live sand and live rock into the refugium.
...I don't want to kill the inverts that I just bought...

Any tips or suggestions? Anyone done this before?

It will probably be fine. If you are worried, leave the rock and sand in a separate container from your tank (like a bucket or something) for a few days and test for ammonia. If it never rises, you are good to add it to your tank. If it registers, then let it cure for a little while.
