Frags, what next?

Reefing newb
I have button polyps and they are crowded onto a large rock. I removed rock and took some polyps off and put on rock on a frag plug. They look great. New polyps grew on original rock I fragged from. My question is two-fold: 1, do I need to do something with the ones on frag plug; 2, should I continue to thin out the original colony as they overcrowd the rock they are on? Thanks, Ann Marie

Just let the ones on the frag plug grow a couple of polyps. Then take em to your LFS and trade em.Or can trade/sale em with other hobbiest.
You can also keep fragging them when you need to.That shouldnt be a problem.

Thanks, I think I'll take the plugs to LFS and make a few more. The parent colony is strong and colorful, as are the ones on the frag plug!

Yeah, you can build up a nice bit of store credit by bringing in your "extras". Some hobbyists have figured out this trick as a neat way to never have to pay for any new corals again!

Thats my plan too. I figured the cost of my frag tank would be offset by the money I could make from the frags.
