I agree with sen5241b, what is your bio load in the tank (stocking)?
tank sounds very new- incomplete cycle or restarting cycle due to additional stock-need to find root cause!

Just tested the water, came up 0 PPM???? Whats going on here!!! Damn...

Sounds like a rookie didn't measure his test right. :D We've all done it, one day I'll tell you about when I thought my Calcium was 100.

If you have nitrates that high, your inverts are in serious danger. Keep a close eye on them

Also, the reason you let your water sit for 24 is newly made saltwater is very caustic, and can damage your fish's gills and the coral's flesh.

I would start looking for something big that died to cause that kind of a spike.

I do 5 gal wat changes weekly. I usually fill up the bucket, mix salt and pour into the tank. With doing such a small change out of my 55gal tank would it effect my tank as much? Plus I'm having green hair algae issues. Have had the tank 2-3 months
