Dry Rock Aqua-scape?

I plan on starting a new tank Dry Rock Aqua-scape With a 2/3 dry Sand 1/3 wet active sand and all dry rock.This tanks much longer to Cycle But it's going to be a lot cheaper to do any idea's on a time frame ?

Cycle takes anywhere from 2-8 weeks. Good luck, when you finally set it up, post a thread in tank showcase. Also, do pretty much ALL base rock, and one piece of live rock to seed the rest. :)

I cycled my 125g with all base rock and dry sand. Took around 4-5 weeks. Just tossed some frozen mysis in there. But I was in no rush.

Dont be suprised if your waters dont stablize for up to 6 months. I have 90lbs of lr in my sump and it was all dry rock. It still not fully cured and i did throw 20lbs of live rock in there too.
