Just got a 10g off craigslist to start up.
I just got a house and had to get rid of the 58g :(
I have a lot of stuff I still need for the house so this will be a slow process. I just needed a tank. Dont care how big :)
Thanks.
Im still planing on what I'm going to do.
I want a sump for this tank but I don't like hob overflows.
Would it be a good idea to drill a tank this small?
Im almost 99.9% sure the glass isn't tempered. I just took apart a 10g tank I had to make baffles for my 30g sump and I was able to cut the class barely easy, if it would of been tempered then it would of cracked.
It's 1/4" glass, bullshit it'll crack "too easily". I drill 1/4" glass all the time at work. As long as you take it real slow and use lots of lube (water), you'll be fine.
+1 I don't believe it'll crack, but I guess now is your decision. If you go for it you need the proper equipment to do it: a driller, a special head for it to cut through the glass, a lot water flow, steady grip, safety glasses, gloves, etc.
what kind of pumps do ppl use for a tank this small?
i was thinking of using two tunze universal mini pumps.
i dont want a big powerhead in there
will these work? :-/ T5024_04 Premium Aquatics - T5024_04 Aquarium Supplies
I would say no they don't provide enough water movement.
I would go with this
