Dang microbubbles!

UGH!
Is this just new tank syndrome?
I can't figure out where they are coming from but i can see them flowing out of my return lines. I can't tell if they are coming from my sump or the return lines or what. Grrrrr.... :grumble:

I had to go back and look at your sump pics. From the pics I would say they are coming from the sump. In the pic it looks like you have quite a few in there. I couldn't tell but do you have any type of media in there to help trap the bubbles?

Ya, I just put some bio-bale in the compartment after the protein skimmer but it didn't seem to help much.

I would think the are coming from the skimmer. You could try what i did, take a specimen container, and drill a bunch of holes in the bottom. After that make a few notches in the top to be sure that if it overflows, it will overflow in the direction you want it to. Then get some foam (i went with a pretty dense, soft foam), and stuff that baby full. Position it under the return of your skimmer and presto! Bubble diffuser. Hope this helps!
