I am in day 16 of the cycle with dr and ds. I have been checking the basics daily. Ammonia is 1.0 nitrite is 1.0 nitrate is 5.0 Ph is 8.2 Phosphate is .22 calcium is 369 alkalinity is 7.62 salinity is 1.024 temp is 78.I use the api test for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and ph. I use Hanna tests on the rest. My alkalinity is low should I just wait till the water change before I address that issue? I am seeing some algae growth in the corners on the silicone caulk, leave it or clean it? Thanks for any input.

I wouldn't do anything. Alk and cal are low because of ph.
Don't scrap algae off of the silicone, leave it be.

Your system is going to take longer to cycle because of being all new. It takes a long time for the rock to produce beneficial bacteria growth. It may take up to 6 weeks to cycle. The rocks will take up to 6 months to be beneficial for the bacteria to grow deep inside.
You should just wait a week before the next testing, it won't be over night.

Thanks, I will just keep it topped off and wait. I knew it would take longer, good thing I am a patient person.LOL
