I don't know guys. I just spent some time looking at 180g reef tanks. Many use 400W lights and look just fine. Some are even "tank of the month" on other sites. My tank is just as deep as a 180, so I don't feel any urgency in downgrading my lighting. So many other cool things to spend my money on. :)

If your happy and your corals are happy...no reason to change anything. I'm a firm believer in "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".
But...take a look at those performance charts. See how the bulb you use compares to others. You "may" be wasting lots of energy. GO GREEN...lol
