I'm looking at a tank on craigs list that had copper meds used in it. The current owner said they used copper about 2+ years ago. Will the tank be ok to use or should forget about it?

From what I have read, you should be OK if you scrub the hell out of it with bleach a few times, and then do the same with vinegar. I know of someone who done this and is keeping a reef tank with no problems, going on 1 year

It should be fine. Glass won't absorb copper, just make sure the silicone isn't discolored.

And if you're really worried about it, buy a copper test kit and keep an eye on it. And/or run carbon consistently, that'll remove copper nicely.
