Convict Tang

Anyone here ever own a convict tang?
I really like their look, but have never seen one in person- would love to see some home made shots too! I kind of want one for the new tank...

I see a lot of them here in Oahu. I like them. They also taste good : P

Yeah, a lot of people think they are somewhat drab and boring, but I think they are unique - and they are supposed to be a little more peaceful than the average tang. Now....just gotta build this tank already.

I always liked them also..
seemed everytime I went to order fish they were always out of stock both from lfs and online.. when I wasnt oredering stuff always had it...trying to decide the last couple fish to put in now..

I've never had one, but my LFS always seems to have a couple for sale -- someone is buying them!

They do look drab, but they are unique looking. At least they aren't brown! :)

They look drab in person, Biff? boooo. I was hoping the white would sort of stand out.

Yeah, the black and white is drab, but in person, they aren't boring or anything. I personally wouldn't go out of my way to add a brown, black or white fish to my tank. But the convict tangs are unique looking.
