Wow, that was a really alliterative title. Hi everybody,
We just got a Chili coral frag, and I just wanted to check in to make sure we've taken care of all the major points in terms of caring for it. There isn't a convenient place to put it upside down in our tank, so we laid it in a crevasse away from direct light where it can kind of hang over the mouth of a little cave. On that note, what's a good way to acclimate it to the light? I've noticed it looks unhappy when it's on, all the polyps retract.
I was told that it would accept regular frozen fish food as long as it had an algae content, but I'm suspicious of that (all we have is Ocean Nutrition), so I think I'm going to go out and pick up some kind of reef snow formula tomorrow. Could anyone suggest a good coral food?
Any other advice would be appreciated,
Thanks
