Changing Out T-5 Bulbs

How often should T-5 lights be replaced? Every 6 months? 9 months? 1 year? Thanks guys.

The companies have you believe they can go 24 months.In reality,12 months is the most I go otherwise the bulbs start looking yellow.

Blue,you can't go wrong using UV,ATI and KZ(Korallen-zucht) bulbs.Now if you exact bulbs,I don't know what corals you have or what look you are going for.

I always recommend calling or email Reef Geek for their suggestion.

well i really like the flourescence i see in everyones pictures, and i just dont think that i'm quite there yet, so i'm hoping that they will give me a full list and then as i can afford it i will change the bulbs that they suggestged...

Project,are you going to mount reflectors behind each bulb?I so recommend that you do.

Thanks for the info. I'm not happy with the bulbs I have now, they are the original ones with the light fixture. About 6 months I believe.
