Candy Cane

So I got a Candy Cane a few weeks ago, and I never saw it extend it's tentacles. I looked. Every single night. I tried squirting a little Roti Feast at him when I was feeding everything else and still... nothing.
BUT! Today I'm feeding the tank with my little turkey baster and I squirted some mysis at him, just for the hell of it. I go away and a few minutes later he's EATING ONE! Hooray!
So I guess my question is... do all the heads feed the same animal? Or do I need to try to feed each one individually? I'm super excited about this!!

You actually don't even need to spot feed them at all. They will get what they need from the water and will catch small particles of food that you don't even see happening. I would feed each head individually if you are going to spot feed.

I have 5 different types of candy canes in my tank, and have noticed that the heads that don't get food grow very slowly. The ones that do grow like crazy and split very often. I don't think they share food, but that doesn't kill the heads that aren't fed, it just stunts their growth, as they do get some nutrition from the light and water column.

+1 Biff and Hiker.
Candy canes dont have to be spot fed,but it does help them grow. The heads dont share either.
