bubbles in main tank

hi folks. do i really need an air stone in my main tank or could i jost put it in my sump? the little bubbles make my water look cloudy. what do you guys think?

an airstone isnt needed, your tank will get enough oxygenation from the water falling to the sump

No airstone needed. Just have a powerhead pointed toward the surface.

+1 to the advice given, and the air stone will lead to some serious salt creep.

i think that a lot of people do that especially when going from fresh to salt. good advice from everyone just get rid of it.

A protein skimmer will add a lot of oxygen to the water --generally a good thing in salt tanks too.
