Best way to keep sand clean?

I have a few of the darker shell Ilyanassa obsoleta.They don't seem to bury in the sand but are still great scavengers.They actually climb the rocks when my Tongans don't.They remind me more of fighting conchs.

Yeah I was just moving some rock around and realized that I needed to be careful cause them snails are under the sand and didnt want to pin one to the bottom lol
