Best skimmer for the money

I am picking up a 180 gallon tank this weekend and I'm looking toward the future in needing a skimmer to put with it. I'm looking for the most cost efficient skimmer I can get. I know someone that I can get an ASM G-2 skimmer for $200, they go for at least $300 new and he only ran it for about a year. I'm wondering if there is a good one for around that same price or even lower that I can look at or is that one a deal someone who has had experience with larger setups would jump on.

if your tight on money i know a couple friend that have a sca 302 skimmer off ebay that works great. they love it and it pulls some nasty stuff out. its basically the same thing as a bubble magus.

That's the same skimmer I have and it has worked great for the last year or so but the pump is finally giving out, I actually need to blow air in the air line to get it to start working now. I want to upgrade the pump for a better one but not sure what will fit in it. was thinking the same pump as the bubblemagus ( Spelling ? ) but yeah it worked fairly good for the price.
