FOODS AND FEEDING - Meaty marine fare for carnivores, crustacean flesh, mysid shrimp, fresh/live and frozen preparations. Feed Daily.

REEF COMPATIBILITY - May feed on smaller delicate shrimp, small fish, otherwise, excellent.
CAPTIVE CARE - The hawkfish acclimates well to captivity, harmless to sessile invertebrates. If introduced at the same time more than one can be housed in a medium to large tank if they are not the same size, and if adequate hiding places are provided. Will pick at small crabs, cleaner boxer, anemone, and saron shrimps, once acclimated may be aggressive to newly added tankmates even if large, best kept with fish that can hold their own.
